Who we are

Sitewise (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a job management app for UK trades and operates the website at sitewisetrade.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What data we collect

Through this website we only collect the information you choose to give us:

• Waitlist sign-ups: your name and email address.
• Enquiries: your name, email address and, if you choose to share them, your company name, phone number, trade and the content of your message.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address and device or browser type, and limited analytics about how the site is used (see Cookies and analytics below).

How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

• add you to the Sitewise waitlist and let you know when the app is available;
• reply to your enquiry and provide the information or support you have asked for;
• understand how the website is used so we can improve it;
• keep our records accurate and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Our legal basis

We rely on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

• Consent when you join the waitlist or submit an enquiry. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving our website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run this website and process the information you submit. These currently include:

• our hosting and form provider, which delivers the website and passes enquiry submissions to us;
• our database provider, which securely stores waitlist sign-ups;
• our analytics provider, where enabled, which helps us measure website usage.

These providers currently include Netlify (website hosting and contact-form delivery) and Supabase (secure storage of waitlist and enquiry details). They only process your data on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until the app has launched and you have had the chance to sign up, or until you ask us to remove them. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on systems provided by our service providers. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to make the site work and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how it is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@sitewisetrade.uk and we will respond within the time limits set by law.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
